Happy Holiday’s To All!

This years Christmas gathering was held at the beautiful New England style home of Windom & Eleanor Estes last Sunday evening, Dec. 9th at 4 to 6pm. It was a wonderful holiday open house affair with 32 warm and gracious MG club friends attending. Fireplaces crackled and glowed, smiles, holiday toasts and good cheer were all present and accounted for.
Windom
opened his garages with his fine array of MG’s and antiques for all to see
(at least those willing to brave
the cold). Judy and Pat kept the
glasses filled and Eleanor’s dining room table held a fine assortment of
nibbles and treats for all to
enjoy.
We thank the Estes for opening their home us to enjoy.
We want to welcome members Don and Maja Willett. Don and Maja were one of our earliest members a number of years ago and then became involved in other things So we received a very nice Christmas card from them the other day with their application and dues. So Don and Maja, welcome home. Glad to have you back. They have a nice collection of MG cars, a GT, MGB and a Midget.
We
also have Mike and Michelle Goldberg who attended their first Christmas get
together as did Ken Stewart. Joe Marcotte brought his wife Pat with him to
the Christmas party and we were very happy to meet her. Also this was Bob
and Lynda Strand's first Christmas outing and know we will see a lot more of
them.
After the first of the year we will get busy and begin to plan for the coming year. One piece of news to share is the Autumn Classic that is held in San Juan Batista every year is negotiating with the City of Pacific Grove to move the event to the Peninsula. That is kind of a two edge sword. The drive over the back road to San Juan Batista has always been a great ride but then again it would be nice to have the event close to home. We should know in a month or so if it will happen.
As we look forward to another fine year of friendship and MG fellowship, we would like to wish all of you a
Very Merry Christmas and a Joyous, Healthy, Happy New Year!
